About Mrs. Roemer

          Hi! My name is Mrs. Kristie Roemer and I will have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher for this school year.  I am looking forward to working with your child – I’m positive we will have lots of fun learning new things and meeting new friends!  I’m sure we will have a wonderful year of learning and growth!

          I am a graduate of Saint Vincent College, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Instruction and an Early Childhood Certification.  After graduating from Saint Vincent College, I continued my education at The University of Pittsburgh, where I spent a year studying as a Reading Specialist.  I have been teaching in the Hempfield Area School District since 2011.   I love it more and more every year!

          I am a Hempfield resident and live with my husband, Jim, and our sons Tyler (he’s three years old!) and Andrew (he’s one year old!).  I also have a yellow lab named Max who loves to play outside and chase balls.  We love to go for walks, play games as a family and root on the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates!  I like to eat pizza, my favorite color is green and I love to read.  I can’t wait to learn about your child’s interests!

          I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning and growth with your child. I will be checking all of the student folders every morning and will be looking for any notes that might be for me!
