Student Belonging Pick-Up

Student belonging PICK UP/Instrument & Book Drop-Off is June 11. K/9-9:30 1/10-1030 2/11-11:30 3/12-12:30 4/1-1:30 5/2-2:30 If you have multiple students, you can pick them all up in one stop! Everyone is to remain in their vehicles. To practice social distancing, we are providing, at vehicle window height, bins for you to drop off books and instruments. Please make every effort to attend at your designated times. If you were issued a Chromebook, please keep it until further notice. Stay tuned in to our HASD website for updated information! Spring Pictures and 20/21 Carpool numbers will be included in with the student belongings. Please make every attempt to put the #’s in a safe spot until the new school year. Have a great summer!
Lunch bag

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Food Distribution will continue through June 30th. Starting June 1, the new days will be Tuesday & Thursday, 11:00-1:00 pm. You will receive meals for 7 days a week! Available at West Hempfield Elementary/Wendover/High School.

Voluntary Online Educational Resources

We want to provide resources and activities intended to help our students stay engaged during the closure. These assignments and activities will be focused on review and enrichment for all students, and will be tailored to individual grade levels, kindergarten through grade 5. This material is not meant to replace in-person classroom instruction. Assignments and activities completed during the closure will not be graded.

Chromebook Cameras

Please see the attached letter from the Superintendent regarding policies and procedures for the use of cameras on school issued Chromebooks.

 Located in Irwin Pennsylvania, West Hempfield Elementary School was renovated in 2002. Our school is comprised of outstanding classes, rewarding activities, self-motivated teachers, and dedicated volunteer parents. Committed to Educational Excellence, West Hempfield Elementary serves approximately 560 students in grades Kindergarten through fifth.

Our mission at West Hempfield Elementary School is to educate every child to be an academically successful student, a socially responsible citizen, and a life-long learner. By teaching the necessary knowledge and skills, and the appreciation of socio-economic and cultural diversity within a school that fosters mutual respect, creativity, and the joy of learning we are "Committed to Educational Excellence." In addition, the effective, caring, innovative staff in partnership with home and community provide our students with a safe, secure and supportive environment necessary to help meet the needs of all our students.
