Welcome to the West Hempfield Elementary website and to our school community! This is a very special place because of the people who come here to learn each and every day. They range in age, interests, and gifts. As a staff we welcome the different abilities and interests of our children. Our goal is to help children progress and grow…beginning from their individual starting points.
Our teachers work together using a wealth of instructional materials and supports. Additionally, we are fortunate to work in partnership with parents and community members who volunteer in our school throughout the year for various activities and events.
We believe that every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. The faculty and staff is empowered to be compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. We believe that in our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid, well-rounded education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs.
